Clinical Criteria Summary
Indication & Patient Population
- Treatment of keratoconus in adults and pediatric patients aged 13 years and older
- Specifically indicated for epithelium-on corneal collagen cross-linking (CXL)
Contraindications & Warnings
- Hypersensitivity
- Aphakic and pseudophakic patients without a UV-blocking intraocular lens
- Herpetic keratitis
Safety Considerations
- Monitor for conjunctival hyperaemia (31%), corneal opacity (haze) (5%-25%), photophobia (5%-25%), punctate keratitis (5%-25%), and eye pain (5%-25%)
Administration & Device Requirements
- Must be used in conjunction with the O2n System and the Boost Goggles
- Designed for epithelium-on crosslinking, eliminating the need for corneal epithelium removal to reduce postoperative pain and infection risk
- Not compatible with the iLink device
